If you have a roofer coming, it’s likely that there is something wrong with your roof that you would like looked at or taken care of as soon as possible. While our roofers are professionals who are skilled in working in a variety of conditions, there are a few things you can do on your end to make sure that we are in and out of your hair as quickly as possible, and you can continue along with your life sooner.

Three Things to Help Your Roofer Finish Quickly

  1. Make sure the way up to your roof is clear. Our job will go quicker if we are able to bring our vehicle, and therefore any extra supplies we might need, up as close to your home as possible. If there is a long line of cars in your driveway, it will take longer for your roofer to trek up and down from your house to our vehicle and back again. If you are a household with multiple cars, you might want to consider rearranging them, parking on the street, or taking one or two of those cars on a day trip so that we can go back and forth with our supplies as quickly as possible.
  1. Take care of any plants climbing onto your roof. If you spend any amount of time doing yard work, it can be very helpful for you to prune back any tree branches or vining plants that may be tripping hazards on the roof.
  1. Clear away debris along your exterior wall. Obviously, you don’t have to clean the entire outside of your house. But having a safe and cleared-out section of wall to go up and down your roof from will save your roofer valuable time.

Although none of these steps are requirements when hiring a roofer, they are considerations if you are looking for ways that you can ensure your roofing job goes as quickly as possible.
