When you are in charge of a company — or at least in charge of managing the physical building — it can be tempting to delay a commercial roof inspection. After all, there are so many little moving parts going into keeping a commercial building running that adding more onto your plate can feel like a chore. However, investing in regular commercial roof inspections can help you avoid even more pressing (and more expensive) appointments later on.

When Should You Get a Commercial Roof Inspection?

The standard wisdom is that you should get a commercial roof inspection at least once a year. This gives us the opportunity to check in on your roof, identify any problems before they get too big, and make note of any environmental factors that may become a problem in the near future. With annual inspections, you will usually fare reasonably well in the continued upkeep of your commercial building.

However, the ideal schedule is to get a commercial roof inspection twice a year. The milder seasons of fall and spring are best — this way, we can inspect your roof before the harsh heat of summer or the punishing rains of winter can hit your roof. If there are any weak points, it is best for us to catch them before your roof is forced to protect you from the elements.

Additionally, the time immediately after a storm is always a good time to schedule a commercial roof inspection. That way, we can catch any damage to the roof caused by hail, flying branches, or other debris before it can be made worse by the next storm.
